Ischgl. Getting There.

By Air

Flying to either Münich (285 km) or Zürich (277 km) airports is the most convenient.

Another good option is to fly to Innsbruck (85 km) via Frankfurt.

By Train/Bus​

Trains of Austria's OBB or Germany's DB railway companies take you safely to the train station in Landeck-Zams.

Direct connections (SBB) between Zürich and Landeck-Zamsare also available.

 

From Landeck-Zamsthe local 4240 bus for Paznaun leaves directly from the train station forecourt. The bus journey to Ischgl only takes around an hour and provides a superb view to the Tyrolean Alps.

 

Local taxi companies are at your disposal if you need a speedy transfer to the nearby airports or train stations.

From Innsbruck regular connections by train (OBB) or Bus are available.

 

By Car​

From Germany:

-Take the A7 in Germany or the A95 heading south. Then on the Fernpassbundesstraße (B179) via Imst and Landeck, on the A12 motorway and continue on the S16 (Arlberg clearway) to the Pians exit. From here it is 20 kilometres on the main Silvretta road (B 188) to Ischgl.

 

-Take the A 93 in Germany heading for Innsbruck. Then take the Inntal motorway in Austria (A 12) via Kufstein, Innsbruck and Landeck on the S 16 (Arlberg clearway) to the Pians exit. From here it is 20 kilometres on the main Silvretta road (B 188) to Ischgl.

 

-Take the A96 heading for Lindau in Austria on the A 14. Then continue via Bregenz, Feldkirch and through the Arlberg tunnel on the S16 to the Pians exit. From here it is 20 kilometres on the main Silvretta road (B 188) to Ischgl. In summer you can also exit the motorway in Bludenz and get to Ischgl via the Silvretta high Alpine road.

 

From Italy:

-Take the A 22 motorway via Brenner on the A 13 in Austria. Then in Innsbruck head towards Bregenz on the A 12 and continue on the S 16 until the Pians exit. From here it is 20 kilometres on the main Silvretta road (B 188) to Ischgl.

 

-Take the SS 40 heading north via the Reschenpass on the B 180 to Austria. Then head via Nauders and Landeck on the S 16 towards Bregenz to the Pians exit. From here it is 20 kilometres on the main Silvretta road (B 188) to Ischgl.

 

From Switzerland:

Take the A 3 to Feldkirch or the A 1 to Lustenau and Dornbirn. Then in Austria take the A 14 toward Innsbruck and continue through the Arlberg tunnel on the S 16 to the Pians exit. From here it is 20 kilometres on the main Silvretta road (B 188) to Ischgl.

 

The use of the Vignette (Toll Sticker) is mandatory in Austria. 1-year, 2-month and 10-day vignettes are available. The vignette should be clearly visible on the inside of the windscreen (we recommend the top left corner or close to the rear view mirror).You can buy it in Around 6,000 sales outlets (petrol stations, newsstands, motoring associations and ASFINAG toll sites) which clearly display the vignette symbol.

In Austria like in many other European countries the use of winter tyres is mandatory from November to April.
