Black Diamonds pistes

Baqueira Beret has adopted a international system for categorizing the difficulty of their slopes. Like

North American ski resorts, Baqueira Beret also uses a black diamond slope rating for the difficult slopes. The international color-shape rating system will help you decide whether a particular run is within your ability,

Thus, in the new piste map, slopes such as Orri de Tredós, Passarells and Gallina appear with double black diamonds and defined as "extremely difficult". The rest of 13 blacks of the ski resort appear with a single black diamond and defined as "very difficult slope". The Lacs Clòt der Os, Escornacrabes and Deth Lac de Baciver off-track itineraries are marked with two black diamonds with a yellow background. Finally, the 39 red tracks of the station are classified with a diamond of this color and a legend that says "difficult".

The central area of the ski resort and the axis of it is the Baqueira area, the largest skiable area with the longest and most popular slopes, they will also be the busiest, with a full range of slopes for everyone from wobbly intermediate to expert. Regardless of their level skiers can reach to Cap de Baqueira (2500 m) and choose between a blue, red or black slope to go downhill.

Beret area also offers us a great variety of slopes; on the one side of the valley from beginner pistes such as the ones close to the chairlift de la Reina, to more difficult pistes such as Dossau. On the other side of the mountain called Blanhiblar, you will find blue and red tracks with spectacular views of the station and the valley.

The area of Bonaigua is located between the Aran Valley and the Pallars Sobirà. It is highly recommended for lovers of quiet skiing and also for families. Argulls is one of the ideals slopes to start. The Bonaigua peak is a fun red track without great difficulty. In Bonaigua we also find more demanding slopes such as the Pala Gran a black slope for the expert skiers.

For the freeride lovers, the mythical Escornacabras or the new Saumet area, offer the most challenging runs and should only be attempted by experts.

One of the virtues of Baqueira Beret is that it offers countless ski routes to delight the most intrepid. In Ski Paradise, we always advise you to be accompanied by professional guides and check the snow and avalanche report before your ski day.
