The Freeride World Tour (FWT) is the most important freeride competition in the world.

Created in 2008, the FWT became an even more global event in 2012 with the union of the Freeski World Tour, which had been held in North America, the North Face Masters of Snowboarding, and the Swatch Freeride World Tour. Along with the unification of the calendar of the three competitions, the increase of the qualification events - Freeride World Qualifier (FWQ) - and the creation of the Junior Freeride Tour, have contributed to the consolidation and growth of the Freeride World Tour.

Since 2016 the Freeride World Tour has an exciting calendar composed of five events that consolidated the presence of two venues such as Arcalis (Andorra) and Haines (Alaska), which were incorporated in the 2015 edition.
