Ester Ledecka Wins First Downhill in Crans Montana

Ester Ledecka claims today her second World Cup win in a Downhill.

It's her seventh podium in the World Cup, the fifth one in the speed discipline. The last time she finished in the Top-3 was in Cortina d'Ampezzo in January.

One year ago she finished in second place in one of the two Downhills held in Crans Montana.

Until today, Italian or Swiss skiers had won all the last 15 events of the Women's World Cup Downhill races: eight by Sofia Goggia, five by Lara Gut-Behrami, and two by Corinne Suter.

Ragnhild Mowinckel finished in second place, +0,21 seconds behind Ledecka. It's her first Downhill World Cup podium.

Cortina Hütter confirms impressively she is back on the speed scene after her first (SG) and third place (DH) in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It's her 17th podium in the World Cup (11 DH, 6 SG).
