Simply Red will perform at Ischgl’s First Top of the Mountain Spring Concert

Simply Red, one of Britain’s most successful pop bands ever, will open the Spring Blanc, the new event Series in Ischgl, on 2 April 2022 – at the resort first Top of the Mountain Spring Concert.

The band and its vocalist Mick Hucknall will play on the legendary Ischgl Stage at the Top of the Mountain at Idalp at 2,300 meters above sea level, right in the heart of Silvretta Arena ski resort.

For many of us, spring is one of the best times for skiing at Silvretta Arena ski resort. With 90 percent of the Silvretta Arena’s ski runs being located at altitudes higher than 2,000 meters, the ski resort offers excellent snow reliability, pleasant temperatures, plenty of sunshine, and longer days. This allows ski fans to enjoy skiing up until May.

But if you will add a vast number of top-class events…are reasons enough to visit this internationally famous ski area.

The first Top of the Mountain Spring Concert will kick the new event series "Spring Blanc", a colorful program full of culinary delights and music on the slopes as well as unforgettable spring skiing.

The "Spring Blanc" will close with the classic "Top of the Mountain Closing Concert" on April 30 with Kings of Leon performing at the grand finale of the Ischgl ski season 2021-2022.

You should definitely come to Ischgl to experience Spring Blanc if you would like to celebrate the end of the 2022 ski season with a bang.

Simply Red follows in the footsteps of a galaxy of superstars who have entertained skiers and boarders in the Austrian resort's traditional Top of the Mountain gig. A long time ago, Ischgl decided to put its entire advertising and marketing budget into staging two massive concerts a year to open and close the winter season. Elton John was the first star to feature in the Tirolean resort's now-famous season-closing concerts, back in 1995. Since then the resort has hosted Rod Stewart, Bob Dylan, Sting, Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Bon Jovi, Enrique Iglesias, Atomic Kitten, Peter Gabriel, The Corrs, Alanis Morissette, Lionel Richie, Pink, the Scissor Sisters, the Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, Elton John again, Gabriella Cilmi, Leona Lewis, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Gossip, The Killers, Roxette, Mariah Carey, The Scorpions, Deep Purple, Nickelback, Robbie Williams, James Blunt, Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Beach Boys, PUR, Zucchero, Jason Derulo, and Lenny Kravitz.

The Simply Red live concert will take place in the ski area, on the Idalp, at 2,300 meters, and will start at 13.00. The concert admission is included in the ski ticket. The day ski pass for Ischgl-Samnaun is also the ticket to the concert and costs €90.00 per person on 2nd April 2022. The concert is included in all ski passes valid for 2 days or more.
