Ischgl is a small village located in the Paznaun Valley at 1,377 metres above sea level in the Austrian state of Tyrol.

Ischgl is a different kind of alpine resort. If you are looking for a peaceful, bucolic site, a place to rest and enjoy staring at the sublime nature of the mountains, please don´t go to Ischgl. Here, in the party capital of the Alps, life is frenetic. People think and live in superlatives. Partying is another core activity, in addition to action-packed winter sport.

Ischgl

Ischgl is a truly Ski Paradise in Tirol (Austria) with 238 km of prepared pistes, 43 lifts and lots of interesting new features in the ski resort. The modern lifts managed by the SilvrettaSeilbahn AG Company offer a high level of comfort and countless extras, such as heated seats in the Fimbabahn cable car built for the 2007/08 season. A variety of slopes and ski routes offer a opportunity for everyone, from beginners to experts looking for challenging pistes. Eleven is the name of the longest piste with approximately 11 kilometres from the top of the ski resort in Greitspitz (2,872 metres) to Ischgl village (1,400 metres).
From Ischgl you can access to the Silvretta Arena Ski Paradise, thanks to an alliance between two Companies (SilvrettaSeilbahn AG and BergbahnenSammaun AG) and two ski resorts (Ischgl-Sammaun) from two different countries (Switzerland-Austria).

Ischglhas access to the ski area in the form of three ropeways; the Pardatschgratbahn, the Fimbabahn and the Silvrettabahn. All lifts are centrally located for easy access.

The 14 mountain restaurants and ski lodges in Tyrol’s Ischgl region ensure that in Austria and on the Swiss side of the border everyone will find the culinary delights they enjoy.

After a long ski day we highly recommend to pay a visit to the new spa and wellness facilities.

Since October 2022 the Silvretta spa is open to guests coming to Ischgl. The new spa not only sets new standards in terms of architecture – it also boasts some impressive highlights on the inside. Around 1,000 m2 of water surface of indoor and outdoor pools for swimming and relaxation, a 1,500-square-metre sauna area, a 320-square-metre gym, a wellness area with a vast choice of massages and cryotherapy treatments, event facilities for up to 600 people, and an ice rink that runs around the circumference of the building.

No matter which type of cuisine you want to try. In Ischgl you will find multiple toque-awarded restaurants, rustic mountain huts, cosy inns, pizzerias, and traditional restaurants. It is not without reason that Ischgl was named the absolute mecca for gourmets in Tyrol by the restaurant guide Gault&Millau and the gourmet magazine A la Carte.

Ischgl is well-known (and sometimes criticized) for its lively après-ski parties and roistering nightlife.

Ischgl

In addition to its après ski, Ischgl has achieved enormous notoriety for its events, among which the Top of the Mountain Concert stands out. A concert with world-class figures that mark the beginning and end of the season and that year after year brings together thousands of people to enjoy music and skiing in a fantastic setting.

A galaxy of superstars have entertained skiers and boarders in the Austrian resort's traditional Top of the Mountain gig. A long time ago, Ischgl decided to put its entire advertising and marketing budget into staging two massive concerts a year to open and close the winter season. Elton John was the first star to feature in the Tirolean resort's now-famous season-closing concerts, back in 1995. Since then the resort has hosted Rod Stewart, Bob Dylan, Sting, Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Bon Jovi, Enrique Iglesias, Atomic Kitten, Peter Gabriel, The Corrs, Alanis Morissette, Lionel Richie, Pink, the Scissor Sisters, the Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, Elton John again, Gabriella Cilmi, Leona Lewis, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Gossip, The Killers, Roxette, Mariah Carey, The Scorpions, Deep Purple, Nickelback, Robbie Williams, James Blunt, Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Beach Boys, PUR, Zucchero, Jason Derulo, Lenny Kravitz, Simply Red, and Kings of Leon.
