Flying to either Münich (285 km) or Zürich (277 km) airports is the most convenient.

Another good option is to fly to Innsbruck (85 km) via Frankfurt.

The use of the Vignette (Toll Sticker) is mandatory in Austria. 1-year, 2-month and 10-day vignettes are available. The vignette should be clearlyvisible on the inside of thewindscreen (we recommend the topleft corner or close to the rear viewmirror).You can buy it in Around 6,000 sales outlets (petrolstations, newsstands, motoringassociations and ASFINAG tollsites) which clearly displaythe vignette symbol.

 

In Austria like in many other European countries the use of winter tyres is mandatory from November to April.
