Coping best with the challenging and tough Beltrametti course conditions, Romane Miradoli stamped her name on the World Cup list of winners winning her first race after 127 starts in the Category.
Her best results to date in the World Cup were fifth place in La Thuile SG 2016, Cortina DH 2019, and Garmisch SG 2019.
This season she finished sixth in the last Super-G held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Miradoli's win in Lenzerheide also ended a long wait for France, whose last female Super G World Cup winner was Carole Montillet in 2004.
“It was really difficult. I didn't have a good feeling up there. After that, I tried to push and just ski. I can not believe it. I'm very happy", said Miradoli.
Mikaela Shiffrin finished in the second position +0.38 seconds behind Miradoli. She is now 67 points ahead of Petra Vlhova in the race for the Big Globe.
Lara Gut-Behrami rounded out the podium in third, +0.88 seconds short of the French skier.
With only one more race to go Federica Brignone is the virtual winner of the Super-G Crystal Globe. Brignone previously won the Crystal Globe in the Overall and Giant Slalom in the 2019-2020 season and twice topped the World Cup standings in the Alpine Combined (2018-2019, and 2019-2020).
Brignone is the first Italian ever to win the Super-G World Cup and also the first one to win three titles in 3 different disciplines (Giant, Alpine Combined, and Super-G).
"It's fantastic, but I didn't have a good race. There were a lot of mistakes. I didn't have a good feeling with my skis and on the snow. I couldn't go full gas", said Brignone.
